Montana Wedding

Lucas + Liz

Day One: Lucas and Liz opted for a two day Montana wedding. Day one was a small ceremony at a location 30 minutes south of Bozeman, in Hyalite Canyon. With only immediate family in attendance, it was intimate and amazing.

After the ceremony, we took just a few minutes with the couple by the lake. There were too many people on the lake and the water was a bit too high to shoot on the shore, but found a nice little spot in the forest for a few more couple shots.

Day Two: After a day to catch their breath, it was time for the reception! We went down to Chico Hot Springs in Paradise Valley for dinner, dancing, and a pretty epic sunset.

When the speeches are happening, I always keep a close eye on the clock and weather. When it's appropriate, I at least ask if the couple wants one more chance for golden hour shots. They usually do.

Montana is an amazing place to photograph weddings! Lucas and Liz had a fantastic couple of days and I was honored they let me capture their big day. They were lovely to work with and have a great future together.
